INGREDIENTS:
•	1 hot house English cucumber seeded and sliced into 1/4-inch slices.
•	2 avocados peeled, pitted and sliced into 1/2-inch chunks.
•	8-10 Campari or cocktail size tomatoes halved and then quartered.
•	1/4 Maui onion thinly sliced.
•	1 jalapeno sliced.
•	1 cup fresh cilantro leaves.
•	2 tablespoons canola oil.
•	Juice of 2 limes about 1/4 cup.
•	1/4 teaspoon chile powder.
•	Generous pinch of sugar.
•	Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper.

INSTRUCTIONS:
1.	In a large bowl, add the cucumber, avocados, tomatoes, onion, jalapeño and cilantro leaves.
2.	In a small bowl, mix the canola oil with the lime juice, chile powder, sugar and season with kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste.

I grilled a thick piece of grass fed New York strip steak medium cooked in my grill pan since its been raining outside and roasted some baby red potatoes 🍠 in my toaster oven. Both were simply seasoned with olive oil, salt and pepper. The green beans were sautéed in olive oil with garlic and the eggs 🍳 were cooked in avocado 🥑 oil. The potatoes came out perfectly crisp and the steak was perfectly cooked. I dipped it in some steak sauce. It was all so good. I hope you have a good night.

Die Antworten gibts ganz bald auf meinem Blog zu sehen (ich freue mich so!). Bei diesem Prozess - in dem ich mich noch immer befinde - habe ich gelernt wie schmerzhaft, aber auch wunderschön es sein kann, das anzunehmen und das lieben zu lernen was man ist. Und das auch ins Außen hinauszutragen. Auch wenn es manchmal Mut erfordert.
Ich freue mich mein Herz noch mehr mit euch zu öffnen und zu teilen. Ich arbeite gerade an einer neuen Struktur -ich bin einfach strukturverliebt-, an mehr Flexibilität, neuen Rezepten. Mehr Anja. Mehr Freiheit. Noch mehr Liebe. In allen Lebenslagen.

➡️ Fluffige veganen Schoko-Pancakes mit Blaubeeren 1️⃣100g Mehl, 20g Kokosmehl, 1TL Backpulver, 2EL Kokosblütenzucker, 2EL Kakao und etwas Vanille vermischen 2️⃣ 100ml Soja Milch und ca +/- 100ml Sprudelwasser (je nach Konsistenz) hinzufügen und mischen 3️⃣ Teig 10 min ruhen lassen und 2 Handvoll Blaubeeren unterheben 4️⃣1-2 EL Teig in die Pfanne geben und bei mittlerer Hitze von beiden Seiten goldbraun ausbacken.

Serves: 4⠀

INGREDIENTS:⠀

* 2 tsp. olive oil⠀
* 1 onion, peeled and diced⠀
* 4 cloves of garlic, peeled and minced⠀
* 1 can of jackfruit, drained⠀
* 1 tsp. coconut sugar (or agave nectar)⠀
* 350 g (1.5 cup) barbecue sauce⠀
* 100 g (1/2 cup) vegetable broth (or water)⠀
* 1 pinch of chili flakes⠀
* 1 tbsp. tomato paste⠀
ALSO:⠀
* 4 cups of cooked white rice*⠀ 🌱⠀
1. In a medium-sized pan, heat olive oil. Add onion and garlic and cook over medium heat for 10 min or until brown-ish, stirring occasionally. ⠀
2. Chop up jackfruit and add along with coconut sugar, barbecue sauce, vegetable broth, chili flakes and tomato paste to pan. Combine well and bring to a boil. Then reduce heat to medium and let cook for 10-15 minutes (without lid), adding more vegetable broth or water if necessary. ⠀
3. Serve pulled jackfruit with rice.⠀
*Instead of rice you can use any grain of your choice like quinoa, buckwheat, millet etc. ⠀

It's no secret that cookies contain a lot of sugar, we know they taste so damn good for a reason! ​
​What if we told you, you could have your cookie and eat it too without sending your blood sugar levels through the roof?

​We knew you might be sceptical so let's take a look.

​From left to right we have, the Sauber choc chip cookie, a gluten-free choc chip cookie and a commercial choc chip cookie, both purchased from a mainstream supermarket. ​
​Serving sizes for Sauber (left) and the commercial cookies (right) were exactly the same with 16g per serves equally two cookies, YAY! Not so yay though was the difference in total calories and sugar per serve. Sauber's cookies are 53 calories with only 1.01g of sugar per serve.​The Commerical cookies are 82 calories with 5.8g of sugar per serve. Although only a small difference, what really got us what the Gluten-free cookie.
​
​We have learnt that gluten-free does not mean healthy however these numbers blew our minds. The gluten-free cookie is 45g per serve with a whopping 207 calories and 18.6g of sugar per serve. Can we remind you that this serving size is although double the other two, it's is one cookie for almost 4 times the calories and nearly 18 times more the sugar.

​What would you rather, One giant cookie with unnecessary additional calories and sugars or two smaller cookies with calories and sugar but made with real ingredients to keep you satisfied? ​

Baked Pineapple Salmon
INGREDIENTS
Cooking spray, for pan
17 pineapple rings, fresh or canned
1 large salmon fillet (about 3 lbs.) Kosher salt
Freshly ground black pepper
3 tbsp. melted butter
3 tbsp. sweet chili sauce
2 tbsp. freshly chopped cilantro
3 cloves garlic, minced
2 tsp. freshly grated ginger
2 tsp. toasted sesame oil
1/2 tsp. crushed red pepper flakes
Toasted sesame seeds, for garnish
Thinly sliced green onions, for garnish
Lime wedges, for serving
DIRECTIONS
Preheat oven to 350°. Line a large rimmed baking sheet with foil and grease with cooking spray. In the center of the foil, lay pineapple slices in an even layer.
Season both sides of the salmon with salt and pepper and place on top of pineapple slices.
In a small bowl, whisk together butter, chili sauce, cilantro, garlic, ginger, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes. Brush all over salmon fillet.
Bake until the salmon is cooked through, about 25 minutes. Switch the oven to broil, and broil for 2 minutes, or until fish is slightly golden. Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions and serve with lime wedges.

Bu cümlenin anlamı ne? Bir taciz cümlesi, gerçek bir iyi niyet, yoksa uzun zamandır görmediğiniz bir sevdiğinizin sizi gerçekten iyi görmüş olmasının verdiği memnuniyet??? Kişiye göre değişir mutlaka. Ancak günümüzde dış görünümün bu kadar ön planda olduğu, yok canım ben takılmıyorum ki desek bile aynanın önünden geçerken yansımamıza en azından bir kere baktığımız bu dönemde eminim bir çok kişi için bu cümle tam bir taciz cümlesi. Bundan 50 yıl önce mahallemizde çok sevdiğimiz bir teyze bize böyle bir şey söylese belki çok mutlu olurduk, ama artık ne yazık ki değil. .
Bir de olayın şöyle bir yüzü var tabi: Aylar sonra karşılaştığınız bir yakınınızın sizi ilk gördüğünde “Merhaba”dan sonra kilonuzla ilgili yorum yapması! Neden kilolarımızı bu kadar fazla konuşur olduk (ya da popüler kültüre göre fazla olan kilolarımız!!?) Örneğin 38 beden, 40 beden olan bir bayan fazla kilolu mu? Ya da dar bir elbise giydiğimizde önümüzde pırtlayan (!) bir göbeğimiz varsa fazla kilolu mu oluyoruz? Peki moda sektöründeki bu beden algısını kim belirliyor?
Ben bir beslenme uzmanıyım, benim için kilo kriterleri, obezite kriterleri çok daha bilimsel, çok daha akademik. Ancak ben size soruyorum, kim kilolu size göre?

Her ne olursa olsun kendimizi sevmeyi öğrenmek zorundayız. Sadece kendimiz için, emekliliğimizi daha sağlıklı geçirebilmek için, ikinci baharımızı yaşayabilmek için sağlıklı beslenmek ve spor yapmak zorundayız.

Hayat gerçekten kendimize işkence etmek için çok kısa♥️ Yemek yemek ise inanılmaz keyifli bir aktivite🍉🍊 İnsan vücudu o kadar mükemmel bir mekanizma ki eğer bir rahatsızlığınız yoksa bir süre kötü beslendiniz diye sistem çökmez merak etmeyin. Sağlıklı beslenmenin keyifli bir yolculuk olduğunu ve belki de hayatımızdaki en önemli yatırım olduğunu unutmayın🍓🍒🍌 Sadece sakin olun ve yolculuğun tadını çıkartın.
