1kg Kürbis (bei mir ein kleiner Hokkaido)
40g Hefeflocken
1TL Senf
1TL Knoblauch-Pulver
1TL Zwiebel-Pulver
1/2TL Paprika-Pulver
1/2TL Muskatnuss
1 1/2TL grobkörniges Salz
1EL Miso-Paste (bei mir vom Alnatura-Shop / sonst im Asia-Shop)
1EL Maisstärke
60g rohe Cashewnüsse (zuvor für 8 Stunden im Wasser einlegen)
1/2 Zitrone Saft
240ml flüssiger Anteil Kokosmilch 60% aus der Büchse

1. Den Ofen auf 180 Grad vorheizen. Den Kürbis schälen und in Stücke schneiden. Mit Salz und Paprika würzen, in 1-2 EL Olivenöl wenden und auf ein mit Backpapier belegtes Blech legen. Ca. 20-30min im Ofen backen bis der Kürbis weich ist.
2. Den leicht ausgekühlten Kürbis und alle anderen Zutaten in den Food Processor geben und sämig mixen. Wenn die Sauce zu dickflüssig ist, noch etwas Zitronensaft zugeben.
3. Gewünschte Menge Pasta kochen und mit Sauce vermengen.
4. Geniessen 💁🏼‍♀️...

Started a bit shaky and then ended up with friction damage to my coccyx where my trousers are obviously too big and have rubbed and moved while I was doing my workout! So baring in mind I had that little fainting episode and now a massive pain in my coccyx, I’ve gone and lost 3lb this week!!

There may have been a bump in the road but I bloody climbed it!!

I strongly believe that there’s no good or bad foods. Foods don’t have moral value, however there are less nutrient dense foods, like this candy bar and more nutrient foods, such as this entire plate of cauliflower fried rice!

Nutrient dense means a high amount of nutrients for the amount of calories. Nutrient dense foods contain vitamins, minerals, complex carbs, protein, and healthy fats.

This chocolate bar has almost the same amount of calories but does not contain many nutrients, hence you’ll feel hungry again very soon after.

Some nutrient-dense foods include fruits and vegetables, whole grains, dairy, seafood, meats, eggs, peas, beans, and nuts. You’ll notice that all of these foods have protein, carbs, and fats, all very important macros!

Yes!! He is back again!
My personal trainer and he had a great schedule again.
Also my diet we are going to work on together now.
After a lot of trying and different advices from different experts last I decided to go back to basic with my food.
I tried all 'new ' diets like Keto, Paleo, IF etc. last year and a half.
But instead of losing weight (in the beginning I did!), I ended up gaining weight.
Then I realised I was not on the right track. I missed nutrients and felt I was short on things.
Now my calories and carbs are increased and the first results are that I sleep better, have more strength and focus and some more.
Losing the weight might take a bit more time, but I am sure I will get there. An eating disorder takes time to recover from.
My coach Roy will support me there as well from now on!
I will share my journey here and keep you updated.

Don't judge a book by its cover and don't judge a can of vegan tuna by its contents! 😁. I finally tried the @lomalindauk tinned Tuno today and after seeing some very uncomplimrntary reviews on YouTube and Instagram, I must admit I was a bit nervous 😬. When I first opened the tin, it did look a bit like cat food and not at all like tuna. It was suspended in a kind of jelly that made it look unappitising. However, I decided to prepare it how you prepare actual tuna. I put it in a sieve and rinsed off the jelly. I then dried it on kitchen roll and mixed it with vegan mayo and black pepper. It then tasted lovely. Not exactly like tuna but definitely a good substitute. I had it with fresh salad and a few grains and it was a lovely lunch. I would definitely repurchase 👍.

Educational post😆. Having to count carbs for insulin dosing has educated ME as to how I think about carbs. I have to count the carbs in EACH of these items for my son.. yes, milk and yogurt, too! Which made me think of how much this education has helped me understand what our bodies actually need and mixing in WAY more digestible and healthier carbs, like fruits, AS SUBSTITUTES to the carbs we all think of, because he has to cap his carbs at a certain number ( except for celebrations we celebrate🥳)His diet is one of the healthiest I know! And it’s made ALL of us healthier. Another post is coming regarding what I’ve noticed since I went kicking and screaming into leading my family down a gluten and dairy-free existence in support of my daughter’s health, too. We do this as a family because I believe God is asking even my kids to be supportive of their siblings and more detached from food. Because food ISN’T everything as far as our mental wellness ( im also not a 💯 tyrant about it @vkingery 🤣, but the next food post will talk about the things I’ve noticed in their health, too. More on incorporating the language of different virtues into how we educate our children’s character in another post, too). Today is the first of my transition days. To transition off the egg fast without putting a bunch of weight back on, I'm slowly reintegrating some keto/low carb friendly foods into my diet that AREN'T eggs .
So for today's first snack, we have half an avocado seasoned with salt, pepper, garlic, and onion powder .
It was delicious. But I think I'll a few more Italian style seasonings on the second half this evening.

There's a big difference between reporting scientific findings and actually *communicating science.* A person who simply summarizes an article isn't adding any value. Even worse is the person who misrepresents findings, conflating the data and making claims based on weak, misapplied 'evidence.' You can usually suss this out in the most extreme form--the classic 'cell culture study applied to the whole of human physiology' move. Every study deserves an actual discussion about its quality, strength, and applications.
Big extrapolations, absolutist thinking, emotional responses and logical fallacies are all signs of a guru as well. They're usually selling a product to fix the problem they've created.
Unfortunately, credentials don't preclude folks from guruism, but there are some credentials that seem to find themselves in this arena more often than others.
The best practitioners I know are willing to change their minds in the face of strong evidence, provide information without an agenda, and maintain their integrity when questioned or challenged.

I can’t imagine what it's like to go through full blown chemotherapy, from those close to me who have had it, it seems like the most difficult treatment to embark on.

Its early december in 1943. The germans had bombed the port of Bari in Southern Italy. The allies who ran the port were caught off guard. The attack killed thousands, sailors jumped from their ships, only to find themselves covered with an oily mixture saturating their uniforms. Mustard gas. A dark secret, no one thought the chemical was being carried in the ships. More than 120,000 pounds of the yellow gas spilled into the bay and everyone was told to keep their mouths shut.
Stewart Francis Alexander, a colonel arrived at the scene. Examining the wounds, he knew exactly what it was. He took samples of the victims tissues back to his lab and with the help of other doctors, found that the samples all displayed a depletion of white blood cells within the lymph nodes and bone marrow. Two other pharmacologists Louis Goodman and Alfred Gilman arrived at the scene and started taking a closer look at these effects, could it work with cancer?
They quickly carried out a number of experiments showing that the mustard compound significantly reduced the size of tumours in rodents. This was a huge moment in the history of our fight against cancer that changed our whole relationship with the disease. They thought that they had finally discovered the magic bullet, chemical therapy.
Following this event, an explosion of chemical therapies entered the research world. Scientists and doctors fought constantly over how hard the human body could be pushed. We knew that these chemical cocktails were taking the human body to the limit but the small successes were just too alluring to stop. The question is, was this the right approach?

Healthy diet recipe by myself 🥣 (Hazırladığım sağlam pəhriz resepti)
Products needed: (Lazım olan məmulatlar)
1 cup yogurt (1 kasa qatıq), 2 tablespoons of chia seeds (2 yemək qaşığı çia toxumu), 2 tablespoons of flax seeds (2 yemək qaşığı kətan toxumu), 1 teaspoons of ginger powder (1 çay qaşığı zəncəfil tozu) and apple (və alma)
Recipe: (Resept)
Take a cup of yogurt, then add 2 tablespoons of chia and flax seeds, 1 teaspoons of ginger powder and finally apple. Then mix it all with a spoon and put in the refrigerator and wait till tomorrow. Then in the morning take it out of the fridge and eat before the breakfast.
Bir kasa qatıq götürüb, üzərinə 2 qaşıq çia və kətan toxumlarını, 1 çay qaşığı zəncəfil tozunu və nəhayət alma əlavə edin. Daha sonra hamısını qarışdırıb, soyuducuya qoyun və səhərə kimi gözləyin. Sonra səhər soyuducudan götürüb, səhər yeməyindən əvvəl yeyin.
