Why do we constantly neglect our emotions?
Since we are born, we are taught to suppress our tears and we begin to hate the sensation of crying. Especially if you are a man, you swallow your suffering and pretend like you don’t feel it. You fake it until you make it.
But you will always feel. You just don’t know what it means, what it represents. Not knowing how you feel makes you vulnerable to being controlled by those feelings. We raise adults that don’t control themselves and adults that deny their own emotions.
Through the development of the individual, being exposed to the constant stress of suffering and denial weakens its brain. The hormonal and immune systems are constantly affected by constant stress exposing situations.
Adding to that, a teenager or an adult that holds huge deals of pain are proven to have higher chances of engaging in dangerous habits and situations, such as substance abuse and violent relationships.
This means that every time we stop our children from crying, for every time we miss the opportunity to understand the feelings of our kids we help to develop adults that suffer and make others suffer. We develop adults with higher risks of heart diseases and higher risk to commit suicide.

Why do we constantly neglect our emotions? Since we are born, we are taught to suppress our tears and we begin to hate the sensation of crying. Especially if you are a man, you swallow your suffering and pretend like you don’t feel it. You fake it until you make it. But you will always feel. You just don’t know what it means, what it represents. Not knowing how you feel makes you vulnerable to being controlled by those feelings. We raise adults that don’t control themselves and adults that deny their own emotions. Through the development of the individual, being exposed to the constant stress of suffering and denial weakens its brain. The hormonal and immune systems are constantly affected by constant stress exposing situations. Adding to that, a teenager or an adult that holds huge deals of pain are proven to have higher chances of engaging in dangerous habits and situations, such as substance abuse and violent relationships. This means that every time we stop our children from crying, for every time we miss the opportunity to understand the feelings of our kids we help to develop adults that suffer and make others suffer. We develop adults with higher risks of heart diseases and higher risk to commit suicide. To feel is to be human. This has been an ongoing part of my personal yoga practice. As an athlete, and someone hard wired to give into the damaging myth of perfectionism, much of my practice has been rewiring the brain to let go of old patterns.

💗 Yoga + meditation, the love of family and friends can ever so slowly help readjust ways of thinking that are no longer helpful. Letting go of the need to achieve non-existent perfection, black and white thinking and instead, be okay with 'the grey' and doing 'just enough'. --> And some days 'just enough' is more than enough. .
.
So get lost, perfectionism! Take a hike 100% states of mind. Instead I choose the freedom and peace that I am enough.💕 May you find freedom in 'just enough' 🙏🏻

So if you think you're a good person, you're deluding yourself, and it just means you're neglecting the evil part of you, and then you go and project it on others, scapegoating and demonizing others, while you're putting this 'noble' front. In other words, if Hitler integrated his dark side, what Carl Jung call the shadow, he could never scapegoat Jews, Hitler was thinking that he was good doing what he's done, and if you think that there is a difference between you ans Hitler, then you haven't gone deep enough into your unconsciousness and and you don't self reflect enough. To the degree that you find evil in others, you are to that degree unconscious of the same thing in yourself.
A holy person is not who is good, a holy person is who whole, who integrated both a good and the evil inside and become wise enough to completely know and accept himself.

2. Start radical honesty with your actions and motivations.

I am so grateful for the abundance of amazing people in my life and all those I am blessed to serve.
After all these years of practicing and teaching I have come to know the essentials of self care. Far from mastered, but I do know where to source it at its finest.
There have been a few beings in particular that have been so helpful and supportive recently. Thank you ❤️
This week I have been observing silence for a portion of the day. The intention is to let in the natural world in and empty out the busy mind skilfully. The ability to use everything as a meditation is a great skill to hone.

И вот когда наступает тот самый момент истинной веры в себя -исчезает сомнение и различные препятствие для счастливой и гармоничной жизни .

Self-care is not a one-size fits all scenario. We all define it and embody it differently. One day, after a particularly chaotic and busy week, I announced to my husband that I need to plan some self-care and was going to dye my hair. He laughed and incredulously asked my why I considered dying my hair to be self-care. To him, that would feel like a chore. To me, it would be bliss: Sitting in a chair, doing nothing, with no responsibilities, is my version of self-care, and I’d be getting a cool new hair color to boot!  It got me thinking about the myriad ways we define self-care and how sometimes self-care is actually NOT doing the thing you thought was self-care in the first place. For example, sometimes going to the gym for a hard sweat-sesh is exactly what I need for self-care. Yet, sometimes giving myself permission NOT to go to the gym when I actually need some time to rest and read and receive is self-care. It can change from person to person and even day-to-day for that same person.

To me, it would be bliss: Sitting in a chair, doing nothing, with no responsibilities, is my version of self-care, and I’d be getting a cool new hair color to boot!  It got me thinking about the myriad ways we define self-care and how sometimes self-care is actually NOT doing the thing you thought was self-care in the first place. For example, sometimes going to the gym for a hard sweat-sesh is exactly what I need for self-care. Yet, sometimes giving myself permission NOT to go to the gym when I actually need some time to rest and read and receive is self-care. It can change from person to person and even day-to-day for that same person. .
